These Home made Gluten-Free Waffles are Almost 5 Times Cheaper than Store-Bought (and better tasting)

Gluten-free waffles are a popular breakfast food among those who have celiac disease or are sensitive to gluten. While there are many store-bought options available, they can be quite expensive. However, with the right ingredients and recipe, you can make delicious gluten-free waffles at home that are not only healthier but also much cheaper than their store-bought counterparts. In this article, we'll focus on the health benefits, tastiness, and affordability of gluten-free waffles made from Schar flour.

Health Benefits

Schar flour is a blend of naturally gluten-free flours, including rice, corn, and potato starch, which makes it a healthy alternative to traditional wheat flour. These flours are low in calories and fat, but high in fiber, vitamins, and minerals. By using Schar flour, you can make gluten-free waffles that are not only delicious but also nutritious.

Tastiness

Gluten-free waffles made from Schar flour are just as delicious as traditional waffles. They have a crispy texture on the outside and a soft, fluffy interior. Schar flour has a neutral flavor, so you can customize the taste of your waffles by adding your favorite ingredients, such as vanilla extract, cinnamon, or chocolate chips. You can also top your waffles with fresh fruits, honey, or maple syrup for an extra burst of flavor.

Affordability

Making gluten-free waffles at home using Schar flour is almost five times cheaper than buying them from the store. A recipe for five people can make approximately 1200 g of waffles, and all the ingredients will cost a maximum of 200 Czech crowns. On the other hand, store-bought gluten-free waffles cost 115 Czech crowns per 100g. By making your own waffles, you can save a lot of money without sacrificing taste or quality.

Time and Effort

Making gluten-free waffles from Schar flour is not difficult, but it does require some time and effort. You will need to mix the ingredients, preheat the waffle iron, and cook the waffles until they are golden brown. However, the process is straightforward and can be completed within 30 minutes. Plus, the satisfaction of creating a homemade, healthy breakfast that is both delicious and affordable makes it well worth the effort.
