Hiking Route to Údolí Ponávky - a lovely spring walk for all ages
I realised that one important detail that we never mentioned here but we do regularly are our outdoor walks and hikes. There is no better time for us to spend than going outdoors. The one thing I do regularly as physical movement are the daily walks. At the weekend we take longer hikes and make it interesting by adding stops, nature games, small treasure hunts, just play hide and seek or admire the plants and nature in general. What better way to spend the time. SO, the idea came to keep the journal of our hikes here also, as sometimes I need to remember some routes and having them saved in one place would be nice, rather than on my files which are not well kept in one place organised.
Trying to put together the details and information is a good idea also because many families with children usually love spending times outdoors. As foreigners here, finding information about various routes and hikes really takes some time, I spend a few 1-2h every week to plan our next hike. It might seem an easy thing to do, but when we meet with our hiking group I like to have all information as easy and ready to use as possible. Will use the space here to document our journeys, in hope that maybe someone will use it and find it helpful.
Last week we took a nice hike to Údolí Ponávky.
Starting was at Globus Hypermarket parking lot GPS: 49.2601064N, 16.5799903E.

Buses are: 41, 42 (GPS bus stop: 49.2629022N, 16.5776336E):

From there, we will go to Údolí Ponávky (GPS 49.2729867N, 16.5824828E):
The entire route consists of bumpy sections but also a bicycle route,
it is possible with a stroller or scooters/bicycles but it is likely to be muddy
and at the short cut the stroller will have to be carried empty (allow 3 min as we cross).
I would suggest if possible to have a carry system for smaller children or a stroller, but not heavy luggage.
Appropriate clothing for the weather outside.
It would be good to bring water for each member of your family plus one more adult, bring a small snack.
Being approximately 4km, it is possible for a 3-year-old child to cover the entire route on foot, alone, but he may need to be carried be carried at a given time 10 min.
If you go on the spring weather, do not be afraid of the wind, it really gets much warmer as soon as you enter the forest trail. The trees always give energy, warmth and protection from the cold. We had strong wind, temp was 5 degrees Celsius, but inside the forest was really pleasant.
