If I were to choose just one club for children to attend is this one...

Like last year, stuff becamse even more expensive. I see a lot of movement  and selling, but not much buying. People sell, no one buys. The taxes grew, food, clothing everything. The good think is I eat less sweets, as they are so expensive and also who has appetite in these difficult times. Not complaining, but just expressing some facts happening around us these days.

This school year is going to be interesting, as prices grew for:

- after school
- meals
- class fund
- kindergarten monthly fee
- music lessons
- swimming lessons
- arts&crafts clubs

At least, we bought shoes for them and at a great prices also, from a good brand because we are too poor to buy cheap clothing and showear. So, we hunt for sale (this we did even before the crisis, so nothing new here).

Anyways, when all gets expensive, you need to cut costs (we are used to it, anyways).
So, now in May-June is the time for enrolling the kids to their clubs. But what to keep and what to give up?

Swimming is necessary. Great thing here is manadatory to give them swimming lessons for 2 consecutive semesters, during school (2nd grade).  So when that ends, we can continue on our own:

5000 kc/semester x 3 kids

Music is good for the soul and we decided all should practice a little, but only after they know how to read well in Czech so, we skip 1st eyar of school to allow the boys to rest and absorb the first year well. Actually, we start at 3rd class with our eldest and it's great, so far. So all should practice an isntrument at 3rd class starting the latest.

3000 kc / semester

Karate lessons (just for the eledest) because they love it and is usefull

2700 kc / semster x 2 k

What about the arts and crafts?
Well that we can practice at home..so here 0 costs

I'm not talking about cams, that is another beast.
What about the gluten free diet for one of our sons?
School in nature, that also has to happen.

So I was thinking, if I were to remove all the activities what is the one Iwould like to keep for them?

Is simple - the school in nature they have every week for 2 hours at one of the Lipka natural schools here in Brno. They have all kids of interest rings forcused on nature, outdoor sports, finding edible plants, build something with naturale elements, sculpting, making musical instruments, make fire, bake and all the good play activities that any kid should experience.

For us as foreigners here, without extended family, Lipka school

has been the family that offered our kids various experiences. The play in grandparents' attic that they never experienced as here we do not have extened family. Sitting at a fire and baking with friends who are like the missing cousins. Their teachers are like the missing uncles and aunts that here as foreigners we do not have access to. Lipka is the home away from home.

And for me, as parent joining with our youngest boy(s) for 4 years already has greatly helped with improving my czech and people skills.

So yes, this is the one place close to our hearts that kids will continue to attend no matter what.

For me it was hard to realise how to enroll until I found their website: https://www.lipka.cz/

I recommend it and hope you do find places, is always full (understandable enough).

That is for today. I am quite tired from a long and difficult week (due to learning, not work:))

So I am adding just these photos and maybe you will find this post useful. Clubs are for all ages, very affordable, the best experience for kids in my opinion and they also have summer camps (with sleeping or just day camp.)

I just finished enrolling our boys and next year I will again attend with our youngest.

IS good the clubs are in the afternoon so fi you attend no worry about work, is after 16,00h

(jut for 3-4 yo is allowed to attened as guardian)

In any case, just drop me comments, to know if someone is here, so I make more useful posts.

take care
