Spending Good Times: Lipka Place at U Jezerka

Last weekend we participated at the Water Day event organised by Lipka at U Jezerka place. Like every year, we enjoy the time spent here and try to be part of the events organised as they are truly making us and the children happy. The great work and organisational, creative skills of all the educators from Lipka are admirable and we are so thankful.

Lipka Place is a cultural and educational center located at U Jezerka in the Czech Republic. This place is known for its beautiful natural surroundings, stunning architecture, and a long history of cultural and educational activities.

History of Lipka Place:

The Lipka Place was originally built in the 18th century as a hunting lodge for Count Václav Michna z Otradovic. Later on, it was used as a summer residence for various noble families and became a cultural and educational center in the early 20th century.

During World War II, Lipka Place was used as a military hospital and later as a center for displaced persons. After the war, the place was nationalized, and it became a cultural and educational center again.

Current Educational Events:

Today, Lipka Place is a hub of cultural and educational activities that attract people from all over the Czech Republic and beyond. It hosts various events, including workshops, exhibitions, concerts, and seminars, focused on art, music, literature, and science.

One of the most popular events held at Lipka Place is the annual summer school, which attracts students from all over the world. The summer school offers courses in literature, art, history, and philosophy, taught by renowned professors and scholars.

Lipka Place also hosts regular exhibitions, showcasing works by local and international artists. The exhibitions cover a range of art forms, including painting, sculpture, photography, and mixed media.

Lipka Place at U Jezerka is a unique cultural and educational center with a rich history and a vibrant present. Its stunning architecture, beautiful natural surroundings, and diverse range of activities make it a must-visit destination for anyone interested in culture and education.

The forest educational trail is our favourite routes and we travel on it every season, it is a magical place. There are currently renovation works to make it even better and I must say all the work done there is admirable. Being part of the events they organise is always a pleasure, we love spending time there with children as much as possible.

As for the Den Vodi event, we were there with kids and although the weather was chilly and strong wind in the first part of the morning hours, nothing could stop the creativity and fun to unfold. Later, after 12,00 the sun made its appearance and wind slowed down.

We had the best soup prepared by Lipka organisers served in the middle of nature and although we could not participate in the snail baking activity, we were grateful for the amazing Saturday enjoyed here. Children did crafts, built a water station for birds and played games, solved tasks according to the theme of the day.
